❓ Preguntas frecuentes
Cuenta núcleos físicos, no hilos.

❓ Frequently asked questions
Which core option do I need?
Choose the option that covers all physical cores in your server. Microsoft requires at least 16 cores per server (and 8 per processor), so an 8- or 12-core server also takes the 16-core option.
How do I check how many physical cores I have?
Open PowerShell and run:
Get-CimInstance Win32_Processor | Select NumberOfCores
Add the values if more than one processor appears. Count physical cores, not threads.
How many virtual machines can I run?
When all server cores are licensed you get 2 VMs plus the Hyper-V host. For 4 VMs, license all cores twice (e.g. 2 × 16 Core). For heavy virtualization, Datacenter Core with unlimited VMs is better value.
Do I need CALs?
Yes: in business environments each user or device accessing the server needs a Windows Server CAL. They are not included and are purchased separately; contact us if you need them.
What if it is just for a homelab or testing?
For lab, learning or home use there is the budget Standard version, which activates the server with no technical core limit but does not include per-core licensing.
How long will it receive updates?
Windows Server 2025 is LTSC: mainstream support until November 2029 and security updates until November 2034.
Are there volume discounts?
Yes. For 10 or more licenses, contact us and we will prepare a quote.
